Dartmoor workshop 15th April - 21st April 2023

Join me in Dartmoor for a spring workshop for 5 Full Days/6 nights.

You arrive after 12 on the Saturday and leave by 10 on the Friday , which gives us all day Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday for image making.

The accommodation is near Ivybridge in Devon and comprises 10 bedrooms all en-suite, the bedrooms are a mix of doubles and twins.

Breakfast and Evening Dinner is included. Except on the last night when we will go out for dinner at the Ship Inn. Minimum attendees 6.

Cost is £850 per person - £250 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place. The remainder payable 6 weeks before the workshop. As all bedrooms are double/twins you can share a room with a friend/partner. If the person you are sharing with is not taking part in the photography workshop there is a fee of £450, otherwise it is £850. Please contact me if you have any questions and to pay the deposit, I will send you our bank details.

We will be planning trips around Dartmoor and the coast, including the mystical Wistmans Woods, Hound Tor, Bantham Beach and Tall Timbers Wood. You will also have some time to yourself if you wish to explore on your own or in small groups.

Each day will also include LR/PS tuition. The evenings will revolve around dinner, socialising and sharing your photography. If you have your own Laptop that would be helpful, if not we will have a 27 inch iMac available. We will also have an Epson printer and numerous different papers for you to print on if you wish, there will be a fee for printing.

What you can expect from the workshop

  • A slowing down of your process, this workshop will encourage you to think about what you are doing. Of course we will offer advice on camera settings when necessary.

  • Post processing tuition in LR/PS

  • Full workflow from pre-visualisation through to finished print

Who is this workshop for

  • This workshop is for anyone wanting to move their photography forward.

  • There will be some moderate walking required so not suitable for people with mobility issues, sorry.

What you need to bring

  • Camera/tripod/filters/Laptop (a memory stick if you don’t have a laptop), extra batteries, cable release. We will have some filters available if you don’t have your own.

  • Suitable clothing and footwear.

What is not included

  • Insurance

  • Travel to and from the location

  • Cameras

  • Any meals/drinks when away from the accommodation and Dinner on the final night.

Cancellation - In the event of government guidelines regarding Covid mean we can not run the Workshop you will receive a full refund.

The accommodation is a recently converted barn with 10 en-suite bedrooms over 2 floors, there is a full kitchen on both floors, a small eating area for 6-8 people on the ground floor and a larger kitchen with dinning for 20+ over 2 tables and a large seating are with sofas upstairs.

The property itself is on Dartmoor so you can actually do walks directly from the barn.
